Sawaru was a very important film for me as it my first time attempting the 72 Hour Shootout as a "Team Leader." Other than myself there were Christina Jun and Chris Vongsawat lending their talents, the latter operating sound and camera simultaneously. Needless to say, it was a formative experience for all of us as we went on to make the Top Ten Selection and win the Best Actor Award. We were also nominated for Best Actress and Best Director.

A parody of the Asian Horror genre, Sawaru is about a serial-dater who asks his best friend for help against an unseen specter.
